This is really a unique single from exceptionally talented singer Beverly Simmons, both sides being equally stunning.
On the A side, Beverly covers the beautiful written and moving "Train, Boats, Plane" initially released by Dionne Warwick and it works perfectly well on the Rocksteady medium tempo.
On the flip is the wacky "Please Don't Leave Me" , strangely reminiscent of Marsha Gee's "Peanut Duck" in the Soul genre. Is she drunk? Are they ALL drunk?? The song wobbles away in a RockUNnsteady manner while Beverly delivers an impossible vocal performance and the whole thing works wonderfully. What an awesome track!
Beverly's vocals throughout this single are just amazing, a unique mix of fragile grace and soulful power; this is really exceptional stuff! Frankly we are proud of selling this kind of material.
